Who Cannot Have This Treatment
(Contraindication)
This includes patients who have lesions of the vulva and vagina that have not been diagnosed and evaluated.
Have active infections of the vagina and vulva including herpes, yeast, HPV, etc.
Pregnant or within 3 months post-partum.
Significant prolapse of the uterus coming out of the vagina.
Previous radiation to the vagina or colorectal region, previous pelvic surgery with mesh kits (vaginal tapes such as the Monarch Sling are not a contraindication).
History of impaired wound healing or history of keloid formation (hypertrophic scars), anticoagulation therapy or thromboembolic conditions.
